Stop by my store 24/7 & check out everything Sale-a-Bration has to offer! (under "Promotions") There's A LOT of cute stuff so don't miss out!
Now for my share today :) Here's the 2nd Valentine's Day card we made at the Stamp Camp a few weekends ago:
I started with a Basic Gray card base & ran it through the Big Shot using one of the Texturz plates. I took a piece of Pink Pirouette card stock & ran it through the Big Shot with the Scallop Envelope die. It really doesn't show up in the picture but I sponged the edges of the envelope with Pink Pirouette ink before putting it together & popping it up on dimensionasl. I used the Heart to Heart punch to punch out some hearts from the Brights Designer Series paper stack; Regal Rose. Each heart was then popped up with dimensionals. Using a couple of the stamps from the brand new set "P.S. I Love You" (in the Occasions Mini) I inked up one with my Pink Pirouette ink & stamped it onto white card stock. I then used my SAMJ (stamp-a-ma-jig) to help me line up the sentiment (from the same set) & stamped that with black ink. The entire thing was then punched out with the Modern Label punch & also popped up with dimensionals. This could be used for an anniversary card or wedding card as well; imagine the color combo possibilities :)
Thanks for stopping by :) Hope everyone is having a great week. Check back again soon & I'll have a project to share using one of the sets you can earn FREE during Sale-a-Bration :)

Halloween
Pin It Now!
Here's another quick Halloween project we did for the event last weekend:
Start with a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece of black card stock & run it through the Big Shot using the Spider Web embossing folder. Spray it with some Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz. Place some sticky strip on two pieces of 5" x 1/4" Pick Your Poison DSP strips & adhere to the top & bottom edges of the card stock on the embossed side. On the back place sticky strip along one 4 1/4" edge & both of the 5 1/2" edges. Remove the red plastic from the sticky strips. Roll the paper to form a cylinder so the 4 1/4" edges are overlapping & adhere with the previously placed sticky strip. The roll will be similar to a toilet paper roll. Close one end & adhere with previously place sticky strip. Fill it with some candy or other small treat. Run a piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock through the Big Shot using the Tasteful Trim XL Die & attach that zigzag piece to the sticky strip on the top & close so it's perpendicular to the bottom. Stamp the "Boo!" from the set "Spooky Bingo Bits" in black ink on a scrap piece of Pick Your Poison DSP & punch it out using the 1 1/4" circle punch. Layer this onto a piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock punched using the 1 3/8" circle punch using sticky strip. At the top of the container use the Crop-A-Dile to punch a 1/8" hole through the layered circles & the container. Attach the sentiment to the container with a Brights Glimmer Brad. Enjoy!
It takes longer to type the instructions than it does to make ;) You can make these little containers for any occasion. They would make cute party favors too. :)
I'll be back tomorrow with another fun project. Hope everyone's having a great week!

Autumn Birthday
Pin It Now!
The weather has cooled off a little & it has me wishing west Texas had trees that will soon be beautiful reds, oranges, & yellows. Unfortunately that isn't the case :( To satisfy my "need" to experience those autumn colors I have to create a project :) So here's my little taste of autumn:
You can't have autumn without trees so my obvious choice for the stamp set was "Lovely As a Tree". I stamped them on white card stock using Versa Mark & embossed with black. I used sponges & added color using So Saffron, More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, & at the very top I used Cajun Craze. I also used Soft Suede under the trees & around all four sides. Using daubers I lightly added color to the trees using Riding Hood Red, Cajun Craze, & Always Artichoke. I layered this onto a piece of Early Espresso card stock & popped it up on dimensionals before adhering it to the So Saffron card base. I used the set "Teeny Tiny Wishes" & stamped the sentiment onto a piece of white card stock using Always Artichoke ink & punched it out with the Word Window punch. I added the Always Artichoke Modern Label punch & popped this up on dimensionals. I used it for a birthday card but it would make a really nice sympathy or Thanksgiving card as well.
This satisfied my wanting to see gorgeous fall colors today :) I may have to make up some more autumn projects & display them in different areas in the house so I don't miss southwestern Wisconsin too bad (where I grew up). Hmm.....I think I can almost smell apples baking.... ;) Hope you all enjoy your day!

Sneak Peek Day #3
Pin It Now!
Before I talk about today's sneak peek I want to share with all of you some amazing news I received in my email late yesterday: the wedding invitation I submitted was one of the top 3 picks for the SUO Challenge I participated in last week! I am beyond shocked & happy! :) Since I was on of their top 3 I now have a new badge on the top left of my blog to display! Okay, so now that I'm done being super excited, how 'bout I show you today's sneak peek?
This card features a set called "Delicate Doilies" & the sentiment is from the new set "My Friend". I inked up the doilies using Wisteria Wonder, Pumpkin Pie, & Melon Mambo ink pads & stamped them onto a piece of white card stock. I then layered a piece of Wisteria Wonder card stock that I punched out using the Scallop Trim Border punch. On top of that there is a piece of Pumpkin Pie layered on top of another piece of Pumpkin Pie. The top layer has tails cut into it that are on dimensionals to give it a different look The large doily is laser-cut & double sided (one side is Melon Mambo & the other is Whisper White) & is from the "Flirtatious" specialty designer series paper. The colors that coordinate with this paper are: Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Wisteria Wonder, Daffodil Delight, Pretty in Pink, & Whisper White. The sentiment was stamped in Melon Mambo onto white card stock & then I cut tails into both ends & popped it up on a dimensional. Everything was mounted onto the Pretty in Pink card base.
This isn't my original design, rather I copied it from the monthly magazine that only us demo's receive. That's another perk of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator ;) Let me know if you want to learn more & or want to sign up to become a demo yourself ;) It's great loving what you do & sharing what you love :) Contact me & I'll tell you how you can become a demo today!
Hope you've enjoyed these sneak peeks. I'll have more tomorrow so stop back to check it out! :)

For All You Do
Pin It Now!
Good Monday morning! It's not quite 7 AM & already the temp is 71; a very great start to the week ;) Yesterday was the April Stamp Camp & we had a fun time! We focused on our favorite ladies & made a couple Mother's Day cards & birthday cards. Today I'd like to share one of the birthday cards with you. I stepped out of my comfort zone & used pink, orange, & purple together (gasp!) I'm quite pleased with how it turned out though; here it is:
The card base is Melon Mambo with a strip of Peach Parfait DSP (from the In Color designer series pack). We then added a layer of Elegant Eggplant with white card stock. The stems were stamped using Pear Pizzazz (my favorite green) ink. The flowers were done using Elegant Eggplant & Peach Parfait inks. The large flowers were stamped on a piece of white card stock, cut out, & popped up with dimensionals. On the inside we stamped "Birthday Wishes" from the set "Sincere Salutations" on white card stock using Pear Pizzazz & punched it out with the Decorative Label punch. The sentiment could easily be changed for different occasions, too.
I normally wouldn't pair these colors together but I decided to step out & try something new ;) Why not challenge yourself to try new color combos that you normally wouldn't this week? I promise you'll surprise yourself with the results! I'd love to hear what new "favorite" combos you come up with so leave a comment telling me what you've come up with. :) Enjoy your Monday!

Quick & Easy
Pin It Now!
Good Friday morning! Hope everyone is ready to enjoy another weekend. For today's post I decided to share a very quick card that went together in about 15-20 minutes. I made it into a birthday card but you could use it for any occasion. You could do up several of these in different colors & leave the sentiment off until you need it, easy peasy! And who doesn't appreciate THAT!? ;) Well, are you ready to see the simple card? Here it is!
I chose Whisper White for the card base & added a Basic Black layer for a bit of contrast. I used Baja Breeze, Regal Rose, Pear Pizzazz, & Peach Parfait card stock & ran them through the Big Shot using the Floral Fusion sizzlets die. I layered each flower & put them all together using some Snail. I used a bit more Snail to put them on the top white layer & added some "bling" by using Basic Rhinestones for the centers. I then inked up the sentiment from the set "Teeny Tiny Wishes" with some Pear Pizzazz (any of the colors would have looked amazing!) & stamped it directly onto the white card stock. I am really pleased with the way this turned out & can't wait to experiment with other color combos. Hmmm....that sounds like an excellent reason to pull out my Color Coach...hehehe
Thank you for stopping by for today's quick & easy project. Hope you all have a fantastic weekend! Enjoy! :)

I'm Back!
Pin It Now!
This week has been busy! My mother-in-law flew in last Friday & was able to be here with us when my husband returned home from a 6 month deployment to Iraq! He got here late Monday night & she had to leave yesterday morning. Our kids have been on spring break this week too so we've had a house full! The card I'm sharing with everyone today is one of my new favorites to do.
The card base is So Saffron with a Basic Black layer on top of it. I stamped the image from the set "Elements of Style" randomly a few times in StazOn on Whisper White. On a separate piece of Whisper White I stamped the image again & colored part of the image using my Aqua Painter & So Saffron & Certainly Celery ink pads. I punched the colored image out with the 1 1/4 inch Circle Punch & adhered it with Snail. I adhered this top layer to the black piece with Snail. I used a piece of 5/8 inch grosgrain ribbon (Basic Black) & wrapped it around the bottom third of the card. This entire layer is put on using dimensionals. The sentiment is punched with the new Decorative Label punch. To create the So Saffron background to the sentiment I used the same punch & cut out the center & used Snail on the edges to create a frame. This is on dimensionals on the ribbon. This was actually quicker to put together than it looks ; ) Thanks for stopping by to look & hopefully I'll get back on track with regular posts. :) Have a wonderful weekend!
