Snow Buddies

Pin It Now! When I first saw the brand new stamp set called "Snow Buddies" in the new big catalog I knew I had to have him :) They're probably the cutest snowmen I've seen. Here's my project for today:

I inked up Mr. Snowman with StazOn & stamped him on the right-hand side of a piece of 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" watercolor paper. I then inked up the tree (also in StazOn) & stamped it on the left side. Using my markers (Lucky Limeade, Riding Hood Red, Basic Black, & Chocolate Chip) I colored in all the images EXCEPT the tree; I used a blender pen with the Lucky Limeade for that. I used the Lucky Limeade marker & inked up the sentiment & stamped it at the top. Before popping the panel up on dimensionals I used sticky strip &  layered a piece of 3 1/2" x 4 1/4" textured Chocolate Chip card stock onto a piece of 3 5/8" x 4 7/8" Lucky Limeade card stock. That entire panel was then popped up on dimensionals onto the Riding Hood Red card base. After I was finished my 4 year old was in the room so I showed him; he told me it didn't look like winter. Naturally I asked him "why?" He informed me that it didn't have snow so it wasn't winter. Well of course he was right ;) & so I grabbed my two-way glue pen & drew several snowflakes & added Dazzling Diamonds. I also added snow to the tree, snowman, & at the bottom. When I was done (again) my son was "very proud" because I fixed it ;)  Kids say the craziest things don't they....!?  But he was right; Mr. Snowman looks much better now with snow :)

Hope everyone is having a good week so far. Thanks for stopping by & enjoy the day :)
