Blue Christmas

Pin It Now! This week has been a little busier for me & I haven't finished as many projects as I would have liked to. Monday's are now my day to volunteer in my youngest son's classroom for the morning so I'm not spending much time getting my fingers inky that day ;) My husband has a crazy work week this week as well: he has a 4-day weekend due to Columbus Day on Monday. Then for fun his unit is attending an all day fun-filled event with another unit today & he wants me to go with him. By the time this week is over I will only have spent 2 full days by myself getting inky ;) Lucky for you guys I have a couple of things to share today & tomorrow. Remember the ornament I shared last week? Did y'all catch it when I said "Here's my first one"? Well, after I finished it I was so amazed at how fast it went together & started kicking ideas around in my head, wondering what colors I could play with next. In the midst of all that rattling around up there I thought about making ornaments for a couple of cousins who had babies this past year; sort of like "Baby's 1st Christmas". Needless to say they didn't turn out exactly how I imagined them but I love them just the same :) I'll share one today so y'all need to come back tomorrow & check out the other one ;)
I really didn't want to do the traditional Christmas colors & in the process of making it I decided to make it using colors that could potentially go with the baby's room in case the parents want to display it on the wall all year or something. One never knows, right? I added their son's initial to personalize it; I had to get out a retired die for that & the label behind it, though. I don't like posting projects that use retired products but I used what I had on hand because I couldn't wait for new goodies to arrive ;) I'm not impatient much lol.

Speaking of impatient I was soooo happy with how the ornaments have turned out that I just HAD to show my mom when we Skyped (I believe it was even before I posted too!) Then I couldn't wait so I had to show the little one's grandma when I Skyped with her as well. Isn't that awful!? lol BUT in showing the grandma (my aunt) I've gotten her interested in making them herself; she's even watched the video on YouTube! lol I may just make a stamper out of her yet ;)

Don't forget to tune in tomorrow to see the other one...
